We continuously monitor the medical literature and governmental recommendations to provide you with the information you need to assist you in staying up-to-date with developing guidelines.

When will I know if it is safe for my employees to return to work?

All employees will be screened prior to returning to work. Our physician partners will screen your employees and let them know when they are safe to return to work.

What happens if I have an employee who tests positive for COVID-19?

Employees are immediately told to stay home. Any positive test will be referred to one of our healthcare providers who will direct further care and will let you know when it is safe for the employee to return.

If an employee tests positive for the antibody test, does that mean they are immune? Can they still infect others?

Positive antibodies to viral infections generally mean that patients are immune, and that they are no longer contagious.  We are still learning a lot about the COVID-19 infection. As of right now we are still uncertain as to whether antibodies confer immunity and for how long.

How much does the program cost?

Most employers choose to use their healthcare benefits to cover the medical portion of the program.  There are out-of-pocket administrative fees related to coordinating and monitoring the care.

Am I mandated to pay for sick leave if an employee is out sick with COVID-19 related illness?

There is new guidance related to COVID-19 employee illness which varies by state.  Check with local HR resources to find out how this might impact your business.

What is “herd immunity”?

Herd immunity references the reduced likelihood of an entire population to contract an infection if 80% of the population is immune.

Is one test enough or do my employees need multiple tests?

Because of the ongoing risk of contracting COVID-19, serial tests over time are required to continue to monitor for new infections.

How long will I need the Heed Health program?

Most companies are initially signing up for a 3-month commitment.  As new information becomes available, we will continue to monitor and adjust accordingly.
